At Pentecost they come to be in Christ and He is in them.
They are no longer followers.
As long as they were followers, they were failures.
At Pentecost, Christ came to live in them and something changed.
They began to behave in ways they had never behaved
before Pentecost – and the people were amazed.
...It’s very liberating to realise our own poverty and recognise
that what Christ expects of us is nothing but failure.
We are in Christ. In that realisation we discover we have energy
we never knew we had – because we are no longer living with
human resources. We are living in the divine energy of the Lord Jesus."
