As he began to hand me a CD, I smiled and said, "I already know Him." He asked me to take the CD anyway -- I might enjoy it.
Just now I put it into my disk player to find out what was on it. It's labelled "Christian songs"; his first name and his phone number are also on the label.
The music makes me smile. Not because it's my cup of tea -- I may try to find someone at church who would appreciate it more. It makes me smile because I know it makes God smile. It comes from an overflowing heart, someone so surrendered to the Lord Jesus that he just can't contain it.
This is a tribute to my elderly brother: The Lord is so very pleased with you. Your desire to share the joy of knowing Him has touched me. I pray that your CD will find its way to people whom the Lord has been drawing to Himself. Maybe the music will remind someone of their father or grandpa who used to sing gospel songs years ago, and they will be moved and seek to know more. In whatever way the Lord chooses to use your music, I'm praying that He will honor you greatly. Faithful, abandoned servant of our Lord -- thanks. :)
